FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: device can be used for treatment of varicose veins of lower extremities. Device has needle holder, rod provided with sharpening at distal end and flat shank with ear for seam aid at proximal end. Working part of rod has curvilinear part, rectilinear part and flat part for finger. Sharpening is made in form of trihedral; bases of faces of trihedral are made in form of ovals. Needle holder is made in form of handle. Handle is provided with support bead at external surface; it also has through groove aligned with internal groove being perpendicular to through grove, intended for shank of rod. Length of curvilinear part of rod equals to 0,1L, where L is length of rod. During operation, rod with thread in introduced close to varicose vein at any depth.
EFFECT: tactile control; reduced traumatism; lower chance of post-operational complications; better cosmetic effect; widened functional abilities.
