FIELD: rolled stock production.

SUBSTANCE: method for descaling strips in rolling line provided with apparatus for hydraulically breaking scale and with finish rolling line mounted in strip passing direction behind apparatus for hydraulically breaking scale comprises steps of loading strip with water under pressure at upper and lower sides; cooling it in finish rolling line. According to invention in apparatus for hydraulically breaking scale in large number of places arranged one after another in direction of strip passing, strip is loaded with water under pressure for removing scale. Last place in direction of strip passing at lower side is spaced from last place of upper side and it is arranged nearer to finish rolling line. Lower side may be loaded with water whose pressure is smaller than that at upper side and it is in range 4 - 10 bars.

EFFECT: possibility for equalizing rates of scale formation on upper and lower sides of strip, improved quality of rolled pieces, stable rolling process.
