FIELD: cryoelectronics; shielding members made of high-temperature superconductors.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method for manufacturing cylindrical high-temperature superconductor magnetic shield includes melting of high-temperature superconductor zone disposed along generating line of cylindrical shield by means of lengthy resistive heater characterized in simple mechanical design; temperature in vicinity of this heater is higher than melting point of high-temperature superconductor material; in the course of shield rotation this melting zone displaces toward cooler zone and crystallizes to form annular oriented structure which enhances maximal field of shield and circular critical current.
EFFECT: enhanced quality of shield, simplified design of device.
