FIELD: cryoelectronics; screening devices made of high-temperature superconductors.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method for manufacturing spherical magnetic screen includes isostatic molding of high-temperature superconductor powder using solid core and soft mold followed by its roasting. Solid core is made of fusible alloy; screen is manufactured within single cycle for which purpose isostatic molding is made in compliance with following dependence: Tm < Tf < 2·10-3/α, where Tm is molding temperature; Tf is core material fusion temperature; α is core temperature coefficient of linear expansion. Upon isostatic molding piece of molded core is extracted from soft mold, hole is cut in screen wall, molded piece is heated so that core material fuses and runs out through screen hole, whereupon screen is roasted.
EFFECT: enhanced quality and screening coefficient due to dispensing with junction plane for fragments, enhanced productivity due to using single production cycle.
