FIELD: manufacture of machine parts with complex profile surfaces, shaping tools.
SUBSTANCE: amplitude and duration of electric current of inverse polarity are limited according to condition of absence of dissolving working surface of tool-electrode. Such condition is created by smoothly increasing amplitude of inverse-polarity electric current pulse between working pulses of direct polarity at treatment process. Increase of inverse-polarity electric current pulse is going on as linear change of voltage pulse wave along pulse period is sustained. Such increase is interrupted when predetermined non-linearity value occurs in voltage pulse of inverse polarity. Said non-linearity value is determined empirically according to condition of etching absence of cathode surface.
EFFECT: improved accuracy and quality of shaping surfaces.
