FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to designing of devices aimed at improving hydrodynamic characteristics of propellers of devices aimed at improving hydrodynamic characteristics of propellers. According to first design version, device contains nozzle of propeller and guide apparatus in form of ring coaxial to propeller installed before the latter. Guide apparatus is provided with cells made in form of hollow cylinders or cones pointed to propeller by smaller bases arranged between said ring and nozzle. Cells can be interconnected, and peripheral ones can be connected also to propeller nozzle. It is expendient to arrange cells in several rows at areas of cross section and length of cell generatrices decreasing in direction from common center. Inner surface of cells can be provided with thread corresponding to direction of propeller rotation. According to second design version, device is provided, in addition to propeller nozzle, guide apparatus arranged before propeller. Said guide apparatus is made in form of one row of cells, being hollow cylinders or cones pointed to propeller by their smaller bases, whose axes are arranged on circumference coaxial to propeller. Cells can be interconnected and connected with nozzle. Inner surface of cells, like in first design version, can be provided with thread corresponding to direction of propeller rotation.
EFFECT: reduced intensity or elimination of swirling in operation of propeller which improves its hydrodynamic characteristics.
