FIELD: analytical methods.
SUBSTANCE: copper (II) is determined by adding sulfuric acid to test solution until pH 1-1.3 and then adding thiourea solution. Volume of solution is brought to 10 ml with distilled water and test strip preliminarily impregnated with 2% solution of phosphomolybdic acid and dried is immersed into test solution, which is then stirred. Time required to change the color of test strip to pale blue is measured.
EFFECT: accelerated and simplified analysis at lower cost.
