FIELD: mobile communications engineering, in particular, technology for providing notifications for calls from mobile phones in mobile communication network using transporting mechanism of Internet protocol.

SUBSTANCE: method for providing notification in communication network includes setting up a communication session of first level at first element of network. Then it is determined, that notification should be read for first element of network. Identifier of second element of network is dispatched, which should read notification during first communication session, and, after setting up of second level communication session, parameters of communication channel of second level are modified in accordance to transferred identifier. Then second element of network reads notification for first element of network. Transferred identifier may contains IP-address or port number or TA (transport level address). Communication session may contain PDP context (packet data transfer protocol). First element of network may contain a mobile station.

EFFECT: possible control over movement of mobile station.
