FIELD: shipbuilding; water-jet propellers with reversible steering gear.

SUBSTANCE: proposed water-jet propulsive and steering complex includes water duct, impeller, nozzle and reversible steering gear mounted behind impeller; reversible gear consists of horizontal boundary plate located immediately behind nozzle; mounted under this plate are at least two vertical rudders mounted on rudder stocks within width of nozzle outlet section and swivel deflector embracing the rudders at astern running; axis of rotation of swivel deflector is located horizontally. Rudders are elongated in vertical direction; lower parts of rudders are located below nozzle. Mounted inside deflector between projections on guide surfaces of rudder planes (when they are at zero angle) are plates whose planes are parallel to rudder stock axes.

EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of reversible steering gear at ship's maneuverability at astern running.
