SUBSTANCE: novelty in proposed invention is that in cross-flow fan containing housing with inlet and outlet holes and flat wall separating the holes and furnished with louvered screen and impeller installed in housing, section of louvered screen of fan housing after leading edge is made louvered, with length equal to 0.4 of outer diameter D₂ of impeller, and solid curvilinear plane is installed higher than leading edge of housing at a distance of 0.17 D₂. Curvelinear plane terminates on housing of fan being louvered section forming suction channel with initial section on leading edge of fan housing. Cutoff baffle is hinge-mounted in initial section of suction channel on solid curvilinear plane congruent to said plane, and projection is made behind leading edge of housing.

EFFECT: provision of high stable developed pressures over entire capacity range.
