FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: cross flow pump consists of housing with impeller arranged therein, intake opening and discharge branch pipe separated by adjacent wall furnished with shutter grid fitted nearby impeller. Note here that air discharge channel is arranged aligned with discharge branch pipe. Said channel communicates with discharge branch pipe via housing base opening accommodating shutters with their hinge ends adjoining curvilinear surface of joint between housing and discharge branch pipe.
EFFECT: expanded performances and stable operation, compact design and low power-to-weight ratio.
