FIELD: heat power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises detecting IR-radiation from one or more combustion products in one of the zones of the burner torch. The radiation is recorded from the tails of the spectrum lines of the combustion products where the radiation intensity is half as low as the maximum intensity. The presence of radiation indicates the presence of flame.
EFFECT: expanded functional capabilities.
