AUTOMATIC CONTROL METHOD TO CONTROL LUMBER DRYING REGIMES Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC F26B21/06 

FIELD: arrangements for supplying or controlling air or gases for drying solid materials or objects, particularly to dry lumber for wooden article, namely furniture and parquet production.

SUBSTANCE: method involves performing automated temperature and humidity of drying agent in drying chamber; controlling humidity of stacked lumber; preliminarily measuring initial lumber humidity and thickness; performing multi-objective optimization of temperature and humidity of drying agent at each of three stages on the base of predetermined initial lumber humidity and thickness; working out control action on drying process, which provides minimal value of three optimality criteria, namely y₁ - lumber cracking criterion, y₂ - lumber deformation criterion and y₃ - total lumber drying time criterion.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of lumber drying operation, decreased lumber cracking and deformation during drying operation and reduced drying time.
