FIELD: hole drilling in ice, particularly to perform microbiological, geochemical and other researches.
SUBSTANCE: sample taking device comprises cable lock for device fastening to carrying cable, cylindrical body, upper and lower heaters, two electromagnetic valves to isolate sample to be taken from ambient medium and biological filter unit. Device is also provided with throttle to reduce pressure of water to be investigated up to value, providing biological filter integrity. The throttle is located between lower electromagnetic valve and biological filter unit. Upper electromagnetic valve may discharge filtered liquid inside body.
EFFECT: increased quality of probe to be taken, reduced power inputs, simplified structure and increased operational reliability.
