FIELD: ecology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for sampling water from subglacial water bodies to study the microbiological and geochemical composition of water. Device comprises an outer casing, located with a gap inside it, internal vessel for sampling a sample of the water being examined, a piston with electromagnet is installed inside the vessel for sampling a water sample. On the lateral surface in the upper part of the inner vessel opening is made for the entry of the analyzed sample of water into the vessel, another hole is made in the bottom of the inner vessel for draining water into the outer shell. Inner vessel is provided with a lid with a shoulder sealingly surrounding outer part of inner vessel, the lid with a collar is mounted on the inner vessel with a gap formed at the top. In the gap between the outer body and the inner vessel is a tube that is sampling, one end of which is withdrawn to the outside through a hole in the bottom of the outer casing. Upper part of lid of inner vessel has two through holes with plugs, through the entire length of the lid of the lid, a through vertical opening is made, into which the second end of the sampling tube seals. Sideways from this opening in the collar towards the inner vessel are made two holes, the first of which is aligned with the opening on the wall in the upper part of the inner vessel for receiving the analyzed water sample, and the second hole in the collar is aligned with the upper gap between the lid and the edge of the inner vessel to provide communication with the gap between the inner vessel and the outer casing. Heating elements are installed on the outer part of the sampling tube and in the gap between the outer body and the inner vessel, the electromagnet of the piston has a cable that is projected onto the ice surface of the reservoir.
