FIELD: electric engineering; electronic-ion devices.
SUBSTANCE: device can be used for blocking and suppressing dust flows and for retaining dust-shaped particles in dust-forming source area at load-unload works in mine, metallurgic and chemical industry as well as in construction materials production. Electrostatic shutter has electrodes connected with positive pole of high voltage source; electrodes have to be convex curvilinear surfaces disposed in parallel. Corona-forming electrode is connected with negative pole of high voltage source; the electrode is made of separate members connected together in form of comb. Distance between elements of comb should equal to distance from edges of these elements to curvilinear surfaces at site of maximal radius of curvature at symmetrical disposition of corona-forming electrode between two other ones. Such a design of electrostatic electrode allows cleaning of dusted gases, preventing removal of dust particles away from dust source area and keeping the particles inside that area when they pass shutter free. Due to the design, device for cleaning electrodes is not required.
EFFECT: reduced cost; efficient usage of power resources.
