FIELD: plastic working of metals, namely deforming of thin-wall bodies.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of forming thin-wall body such as cylindrical one or container; deforming wall (at holding body) by means of deforming tool due to coinciding tool with wall of body; at such coinciding determining orientation of thin-wall body relative to reference position. Apparatus for performing the method includes holding attachment; tool unit provided with deforming tool; device for coordinated motion and device for determining body orientation relative to supporting attachment. Tool may be formed with outer and inner portions. It is possible to use multiple tool unit. Product in the form of container or tube has determined thickness of wall and relief depth.
