SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cold sheet forging, particularly, to shaping of thin-wall axially symmetric shells and can be used for production of large-size thin-wall truncated cone-shape parts at dual-action presses First, expansion and flanging at billet small-diameter end are performed and, then, large-diameter end is expanded Device including cone with guide grooves is used along with thrust ring, sliding sectors and female die Resilient element is arranged between female die and sliding sectors, its height making that of female die and shape making the variable-depth conical shell its depth increasing along generatrix from large diameter to small diameter, taper angle of resilient element inner surface equal that of the cone with guide grooves. Taper angle of outer surface is smaller than that of female die working surface generatrix.
EFFECT: higher quality of shells.
