SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for synthesis of tetrafluorobenzonitrile of the formula (2): Method involves hydrogenolysis of a single cyano-group of tetrafluorodicyanobenzene of the formula (I):
by effect of hydrogen at temperature above 100°C in the presence of the hydrodecyanidation catalyst of platinum group and synthetic zeolite. Invention shows economy profit in the industrial aspect of method for synthesis of tetrafluorobenzonitrile that can be used as agrochemical and medicinal intermediate compound.
EFFECT: improved method of synthesis.
