FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, vacuum cleaning equipment.
SUBSTANCE: grid assembly for preventing dust discharge has grid-type case, plurality of air channels defined in grid-type case, and member for preventing dust from passing, said member being arranged at lower part of grid-type case and adapted for preventing dust caught by ascending air flow from passage toward grid-type case and for baffling dust toward swirled air flow. Said member has first part formed as truncated cone having diameter gradually increasing in downward direction, and second part formed as hollow cylinder extending in vertical plane from lower side of first part. Second part has predetermined length. Cyclone-type dust catcher adapted for usage in vacuum cleaner is attached to inlet extension tube of container-type vacuum cleaner for providing separation of dust by swirling of dust-laden air sucked into cyclone-type dust catcher, and comprises cyclone having first connecting tubular member attached to inlet extension tube for receiving of air, and second connecting tubular member attached to outlet extension tube for discharge of air. Dust catcher is detachably attached on cyclone and adapted for collecting of dust separated from dust-laden air swirled in cyclone by centrifugal force. Grid assembly arranged at inlet end of second tubular member is adapted for preventing discharge of separated dust through second tubular member and comprises grid case having first part with supporting rim adapted for contacting with cyclone and second part formed as hollow cylinder extending from and made integral with first part, and plurality of channels provided on outer surface of second part and enabling communication between air outside grid assembly and second tubular member.
EFFECT: increased dust catching efficiency by reducing passage of dust flow, including finely dispersed dust such as hair, through air channel of grid assembly.
