FIELD: environment protection technologies, possible usage for restoration of polluted soils at warehouses for storage and destruction of chemical weaponry.
SUBSTANCE: on contaminated portion in trenches draining pipes are placed with apertures, which are combined in single system and connected to receiver, and aforementioned portion is sprinkled by 5-10% water solution of ethanol for direct extraction of reactive masses of mustard gas from contaminated soil with periodic analytic control over contamination level of soil. Apertures in pipes are made in semi-circle on one side of pipe section, pipes are coated with glass textile and placed in trenches at depth up to 35 centimeters.
EFFECT: cleaning of soil from reaction masses of mustard gas with concentration exceeding 2 mg/kg, and decontamination and reclamation of soil without its excavation and transportation.
