FIELD: metallurgy, namely processes for making articles on base of intermetallide matrix reinforced with refractory fillers.
SUBSTANCE: process comprises steps of assembling reinforcing blank in the form of carcass of plates of monocrytalline material containing oxides, carbides, silicides and borides; before assembling carcass, applying onto surface of several plates layer of matrix -generating metal selected of Al, Mg, Ti, Ni, Sn, Fe, Cu, Zn, Mo, Cr, W, Nb and(or) their mixture; applying onto remaining plates layer of other matrix-generating metal selected from the same group of metals for forming target intermetallide pair of intermetallide matrix; alternatively placing plates coated with layer of different metals into carcass; forming intermetallide matrix by heating till temperature that is higher by 50 -100°C then melting temperature of matrix-generating metal with less fire resistance.
EFFECT: enhanced strength of article on base of intermetallide matrix.
