FIELD: fire-fighting, particularly to protect pipelines with projected fittings against fire.

SUBSTANCE: covering screen comprises flexible outer fire-protective layers of fiber material and intermediate heat-resistant layers of fiber material. Screen ends are overlapped and connected with each other. Outer fire-protective layers are coated with swelling fire-protective composition. To coat pipeline fittings having diameters exceeding pipeline diameter and projected through covering screen orifice patch formed of material including the same layers is used. The patch is provided with convex dome-like part. Covering screen and patch are fastened with pulling bands of strings. To provide access to working parts of the fitting the covering screen has orifices for thin-walled steel bushes receiving. Glass fabric collars provided with swelling coating applied on inner collar surfaces are inserted in the bushes. If fire heat is applied to the screen the swelling coating is converted into heat-resistant coked cellular material, which fully fills the orifice and protects working parts of fittings against fire.

EFFECT: increased fire-protection reliability and increased service convenience.
