SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire-retardant materials and is intended for fire protection of building structures. Fire-proof intumescent coil consists of an elastic polymer composition based on synthetic rubber and oxidized graphite applied on a reinforcing net consisting of a combination of glass fiber, basalt and silica fibers and carbon fiber reinforced plastic, with optimum ratio of components.

EFFECT: invention ensures preservation of operational properties of metal structures at fire exposure on them for more than one hour with formation on protected surface of not cracking foam coke with provision of absence of harmful effect on person.
