FIELD: fire safety, particularly means to restrain fire, namely to protect pipelines and stop valve projecting from pipelines against fire.

SUBSTANCE: fire-proof screen comprises flexible outer fire-resistant layers and intermediate heat-resistant layers made of fiber materials to be connected to object to be protected. Outermost layer, which is the first to be subjected to fire action, is covered with swelling fire-protective composition and protective decorative coating applied on the layer so that pleats are created. The pleats provide layer deformation so that the layer takes the shape of swelled fire-protective composition covering. In the case of pipeline provided with projected stop valves protection fire-proof screen may be formed as cover and napkin fixed by tightening bands or cords.

EFFECT: reduced size and increased reliability.
