FIELD: radiolocation; radar systems.
SUBSTANCE: airborne radar works in "real beam" mode with electronic scanning. Method is based upon formation of radiolocation image array of surface or air condition in range media. Due to quick electronic switch of radar station's beam, the beam is shifted in azimuth and angle of location for value of n-th and m-th part of width of aerial pattern. Amplitudes of reflected signals are processed at any position of beam due to adding them with weights calculated before according to specific method. Resolution (narrowed directional aerial patter) is better in aspect of azimuth and angle of location at preset cross-sections of range which allows to keep area of observation of radar in azimuth and angle of location relatively width of direction of pattern.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of operation.
