FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves determining chest shape before making surgical operation and lung injury disposition using X-ray examination approach. Next to it, endoscope is first introduced through IV intercostals space on axillary median line. The injury is detected lower than the IV intercostals space level in patients having conic or cylindrical chest shape, the endoscope is moved and set into III intercostals space between the axillary median and posterior line. An injury being found in patients possessing flat chest shape, the endoscope is moved and set into III intercostals space on axillary median line.
EFFECT: enabled endoscopic access method depending on injury disposition without changing patient body position.
