FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed power supply may be used for welding metal structures and articles of varying thickness in mounting and repair jobs. Primary 2 of transformer 4 is connected via double half-wave diode with supply circuit. Power secondary 5 is connected with load. Switching capacitors 12, 13 are connected to common points of thyristors 16, 17 with pick-off diodes. Every additional secondary 7, 8 has its one end connected directly to terminals of power secondary 5 and one terminal of two-section magnetically coupled throttle 11 and its another end connected to capacitor 12, 13 and diode anode 14, 15. Cathodes of thyristors 16, 17 are connected to load terminals. Thyristor power supply comprises also control unit 18.
EFFECT: higher reliability of arc excitation and stabilisation and lower power losses.
