FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to thyristor transformer for arc welding and can be used for welding of metal details during mounting and repair works in many industrial fields. Thyristor transformer includes control unit, impulse transformer, and thyristors with pick-off diodes, condenser and core-type transformer (CTT). CTT half-coils are located on each rod. CTT is connected to the clamps of supply network by primary coil through full-wave thyristor plug and by half-coil - to load clamps. Primary coil of impulse transformer shunted by free-wheeling diode is connected between cognominal electrodes of thyristors and middle output of primary core-type transformer coil. Thyristors with pick-off diodes between the common points of connection of which condenser is installed, are connected to the clamps of supply network and counter connected coils of impulse transformer are connected to the load clamps by diodes. Their common point is connected to the middle output of core-type transformer half-coil.
EFFECT: increase of excitement reliability and stability of arcing, reduction of losses in transformer elements, reduction of active material consumption, electric scheme simplified due to transmittal of power transmitted by the transformer to the load and impulse power.
