FIELD: manufacture of building materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preparation of heat-resistant binders that can be used in manufacture of refractory concretes and products based thereon, manufacture of monolithic elements of heat assembly lining as well as for preparing heat-resistant solutions, glues, and other mixtures. High-silica binder comprises 55-90% of silica cement and 10-45% of finely ground alumina-based additive, namely composed of Al2O3-nH2O (n=0.03-2.0) and obtained through partial dehydration of aluminum hydroxide. Thus obtained binder shows elevated refractoriness and higher loaded deformation temperature, preserves high activity in brand strength development during three days, capacity of brand strength development both under normal conditions and during steaming.
EFFECT: improved performance characteristics, reduced production cost, and widened resource of raw materials due to use of industrial waste.
