FIELD: organic chemistry, paint and varnish industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention describes a method for synthesis of phosphorus-containing triaminotoluene-formaldehyde resin of the formula: . Method involves interaction of triaminotoluene phosphoric acid salt with formaldehyde at the reaction temperature 20-80°C. Also, invention describes using this resin as a component of fireproofing covers. Synthesized resin shows capacity for foaming at heating and to form a porous protective layer possessing with low heat conductivity. Invention can be used in producing fireproofing covers for building materials and constructions.
EFFECT: improved method of synthesis, improved and valuable properties of resin.
