FIELD: chemical and petrochemical processes.
SUBSTANCE: hydrocarbon feedstock is thermally decomposed to form finely dispersed carbon black aerosol with particle size 1-20 μm. Cooled finely dispersed carbon black aerosol is mixed with stream of coarsely dispersed carbon black aerosol with particle size 100-300 μm at their ratio 0.1-0.25, after which carbon black is separated from gases. Carbon black is granulated with water. Wet granules are dried in drying drum with fuel combustion gases fed into interior of drum. Dried carbon black granules are unloaded from drum and classified. Wet dusty gases are exhausted and process equipment is aspirated. Off-grade granules and dust from the finished product bunker are sent to aspiration system. From resulting stream is separated carbon black to be further fed into the stream of wet dusty gases resulting in formation of coarsely dispersed aerosol. Product can be used for reinforcing fillings of tires and other technical rubber articles.
EFFECT: reduced production expenses due to excluded use of bag filters and increased efficiency of aerosol filtration.
