FIELD: artillery guns, in particular, antitank devices, applicable in artillery guns with a high intensity of fire.

SUBSTANCE: the hydraulic recoil and counterrecoil brake has a working cylinder, rod with a piston, and a high-pressure cavity used at recoil and connected to an additional reservoir by a duct, whose inlet is positioned on the lateral surface of the working cylinder. The brake is provided with a casing enveloping the working cylinder with formation of a cavity between the cylinder with formation of a cavity between the cylinder and the casing by means of which the cavity of the working cylinder is connected to the additional reservoir. The duct inlet is positioned in the last quarter of the limiting braking distance.

EFFECT: enhanced reliability of the artillery gun and accuracy of fire due to prevention of the influence of liquid run-over between the working cylinder and the additional reservoir.
