FIELD: hydrogen isotope production.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method for hydrogen isotope separation involves following steps: reducing pressure of medium incorporating mentioned hydrogen isotope, water and water vapor to 90 kPa and lower values; controlling process temperature in mentioned medium in compliance with pressure within mentioned medium; controlling partial pressure of gaseous hydrogen and water vapor, as well as checking mentioned hydrogen isotope for efficiency of its separation from gaseous hydrogen using exchange reaction in hydrogen-water system. Proposed hydrogen isotope separating device has separating column designed for isotope separation from gaseous hydrogen as result of exchange reaction in hydrogen-water system. Device also has temperature controllers affording temperature control within medium in response to its pressure and regulation of efficiency of hydrogen isotope separation from gaseous hydrogen.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of hydrogen isotope separation.
