FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to devices for separation of isotopes of hydrogen (protium, deuterium, tritium) or oxygen (oxygen -16, 17, 18). Contact device contains container, element for phasic separation of isotopes and tubes for supply and drainage of water and gaseous matters involved in process of isotopes separation. As an element for phasic isotopic exchange membrane penetrable for water vapours is used. Membrane divides container in two independent volumes. To one of volumes, filled with heterogeneous catalyst, gas supply tubes are connected from one side and from the opposite side - tubes for withdrawal of gaseous matter which are involved in the process of separation. To the other volume tubes of water supply and drainage are connected by contra flow.
EFFECT: design of device allows expanding spectrum of used catalysts and also eliminating disturbance of hydrodynamic mode due to absence of direct contact between liquid water and gas.
