FIELD: aircraft engine building; spark plugs for gas-turbine engines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed spark plug for flying-vehicle engines has body accommodating insulator with passage provided with central electrode and screened ceramic tube whose end portion facing the insulator is disposed between body and insulator to form outer and inner annular ducts; it carries damping winding of fiberglass impregnated with heat-resistant inorganic adhesive and installed in outer annular duct to form slit, as well as U-section annular hermetically sealed glass bushing whose top parts are disposed, respectively, in inner duct and in slit; bottom part encloses butt-end of screened ceramic tube end portion; this tube is immersed in annular bushing through depth not greater than height of multilayer damping winding. Inner layer of the latter protrudes beyond butt-end of screened tube and forms acute angle with abutting end surface of tube. Electric strength of spark plug is enhanced due to eliminating cracks in screened ceramic tube in the course of its manufacture.
EFFECT: enhanced service life of spark plug.
