FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to foundry engineering. A method involves assembly of models and elements of a pouring gate system, application of a gas-permeable parting coating onto a model, moulding of the model in a casting mould in sand and filling of the casting mould with metal. The parting coating having increased gas permeability and minimum gas efficiency has the following composition (wt %): water solution of aluminium-boron phosphate concentrate 60-65; powder-like periclase 1.5-2.0; cyclone dust of fire clay production is the rest. The coating is applied with thickness of 0.06…0.09 mm with simultaneous action on it with an ultrasound with intensity of 5-10 W/cm2.
EFFECT: providing improvement of casting and physical and mechanical properties of aluminium alloys and improvement of quality of the obtained high-duty casts.
