FIELD: radio-thermal location, possible use in radiometric systems, meant for finding and tracking different targets.
SUBSTANCE: for achieving result, mono-impulse antenna system of amplitude type is used, making it possible to form two receiving channels. Appropriate processing of signals of these channels makes it possible to produce resulting angular resolution in scanning mode, equivalent to 1,4 times increase of antenna aperture. Mono-impulse antenna system also makes it possible to track small-dimension targets.
EFFECT: increased angular resolution and decreased fluctuation errors of radiometer in observation mode and target tracking mode without increase of antenna aperture.
