FIELD: medicine, diagnostics, surgery.
SUBSTANCE: one should introduce a contrast into stomach: industrially manufactured aerated water with microbubbles of carbon dioxide of 0.01-1.0 mm diameter in combination with about 80-100 g rough rice; motor-evacuatory functions should be evaluated according to the rate of peristaltic wave distribution, the size of gastroenetroanastomosis (GEA) and the value of the amplitude of contractions determined by the following formula: Smin/Smax·100%, where Smin - the area of transverse GEA section at minimal relaxation; Smax - the area of transverse GEA section at maximal relaxation; and at GEA values ranged 0.7-1.5 cm, the amplitude of contractions ranged 55-65%, the rate of peristaltic wave ranged 2.1-3 mm/sec one should detect light-degree dumping syndrome; at GEA size ranged 1.6-2 cm, the amplitude of contractions ranged 65-75%, the rate of peristaltic wave ranged 3.1-4 mm/sec one should detect average-degree dumping syndrome; at GEA size from 2 cm and higher, the amplitude of contractions ranged 75-90%, the rate of peristaltic wave from 4 mm/sec and higher one should detect severe-degree dumping syndrome. The present innovation provides improved diagnostics of dumping syndrome due to improved degree of contrast of GEA picture.
EFFECT: higher accuracy and efficiency of evaluation.
