FIELD: production of self-roasting anodes for aluminum electrolyzer with upper current supply, based on "dry" mass, in particular, formation of secondary anode.
SUBSTANCE: according to first version, method involves forming secondary anode of non-uniform height, with lower part of secondary anode being prepared from mass having fluidity coefficient less than 1.8 of relative units on the basis of coke burden, preferably identical with regard to its dispersion to material of main anode, and upper part being prepared from mass having fluidity coefficient of at least 2.7 relative units based on coke burden, preferably having particle size less than 4 mm. According to second version, method involves forming secondary anode of uniform height from mass having fluidity of at least 2.7 relative units from coke burden having particle size less than 2 mm.
EFFECT: reduced cost for manufacture of self-roasting anodes and increased workability of process for manufacture of self-roasting anodes, and reduced outburst of hazardous substances into atmosphere.
