SUBSTANCE: method includes application of binding oil-coal tar pitch with specific density 1.25-1.30 g/cm3, mainly 1.27-1.29 g/cm3, and content of benz(a)pyrene not higher than 7 mg/g of pitch, preparation of sub-prong anode mass with content of binding agent 30-40%, mainly 32-36%, formation of secondary anode from prepared sub-prong anode mass.

EFFECT: reduction of emissions of said compounds in aluminium production.
