FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods and devices for cleaning exhaust gases of internal combustion engines. Proposed method includes cooling of exhaust gases, mixing them with ozone-air mixture, condensing of water vapors, bringing obtained mixture in contact with recirculating condensate saturated with ozone, oxygen and acid components, absorption of nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides with simultaneously oxidizing them in gaseous and liquid phases, take off part of acid condensate with subsequent recovery of said condensate, final cleaning of exhaust gases from drops of condensate, nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides and great part of carbon dioxide and their discharge into atmosphere through device containing ozonizer, ribbed columns with absorption-cooling and separation-cooling sections and, connected with mixing chamber, pan, gas header accommodating hydraulic lock, accumulating reservoir.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of cleaning of exhaust gases with simultaneous recovery of heat of exhaust gases.
