FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to plants with rotor, mainly high-speed working member (crosspiece, disk, drum, wheel, etc) fitted on vertical shaft with relievable support units and it can be used in centrifugal machinery, turbobuilding, engine manufacturing, machine-tool building, etc. proposed plant has closed hollow cylindrical housing, rotor working member, shaft of working member, support units installed on working member shaft and device to relieve support units. The latter consists of ribs straight-line in longitudinal section arranged on inner surface of lower part of side wall of housing with tilting in direction of rotation of working member, and ribs made in longitudinal section in form of part of arc of logarithmic spiral arranged on inner surface of housing bottom to side of directions of rotation of working member and connected with straight-line ribs.

EFFECT: provision of relieving of support units in axial and radial directions in vertical rotor plants with delivery of initial material to upper part of working member owing to creating of pressure rise between working member and bottom of housing and increasing self-centering effect of rotation working member.
