FIELD: manufacture of rotary mechanisms.
SUBSTANCE: proposed self-balancing rotary mechanism includes working member, gas-lubricated support unit with bearing surfaces corresponding to each other; its pivot is combined with working member, thus forming the rotor and step bearing has hole for delivery of gaseous working medium to bearing surfaces, gas supply system and drive. Mechanism is provided with shaped support located between working member and pivot and connected with them by means of flexible members, working member unbalance correction unit and pivot unbalance correction unit; each correction unit consists of correcting mass in form of ring and flexible members connecting the correcting mass with working member and pivot, respectively; they are engageable with shaped support; provision is made for flexible mechanical transmissions for imparting torque to shaped support from pivot and to working member from shaped support; each flexible mechanical transmission consists of three shafts connected for intersection of axes; one shaft is telescopic; points of connection of flexible members of working member and pivot unbalance correction units are located closer to axis of rotation as compared with points of their engagement with shaped base.
EFFECT: enhanced operational reliability.
