FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: magnetic shock-absorber comprises housing, rod, two rows of permanent magnets, and piston composed of two members provided with passages and mounted on the rod. The passages connect the top and bottom sections of the hydraulic space. The winding of the electromagnet is made of a short-circuited turn and interposed between the piston members. The spring-loaded core of the electromagnet is mounted in the intermediate section of the pin and is made of a double-sided gearing rack that engages two pinions through which it is connected with the ring sectors provided with throttle openings for changing the flow rate through the piston passages. Two rows of permanent magnets are mounted on the outer side of the housing and their opposite poles face each other.
EFFECT: improved shock absorbing.
