FIELD: drilling and blasting operations in hard rocks, applicable in various branches using blasting operations in hard rock masses.
SUBSTANCE: the split tamping of blast holes is made in the form of a split cylinder consisting at least of three parts of the same size. The parts are connected by rigid tie-rods with a massive washer fastened on a thick-walled tube passing in the cylinder axis and connected to a hollow spacer taper. A tapered plug with an axial hole is inserted in the cylinder from the top.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of blast crushing of rocks due to a complete locking of detonation products in the charging cavity up to the moment of complete crushing of the surrounding rock by the reusable locking tamping.
