FIELD: medicine, neonatology.
SUBSTANCE: it is necessary to determine neopterin concentration in spinal fluid and in blood serum. At values of neopterin concentration being 51.6±7.29 nM/l in blood serum and 16.3±3.80 nM/l in spinal fluid one should diagnose intracranial hemorrhage, moreover, one should apply the technique of immunoenzymatic assay that requires minimal quantity of biological liquids. The innovation is simple in implementation, requires small quantities of biological liquids that enables to apply it widely in resuscitation departments, neonatal pathology departments and in maternity hospitals.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of diagnostics.
