DIAGNOSTIC TECHNIQUE FOR DISSEMINATED INTRAVASCULAR COAGULATION IN NEWBORNS OF PERINATAL RISK GROUP Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC A61B8/06

Abstract RU 2530666 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: transcranial Doppler examination is performed. A resistance index in the medial cerebral artery and the blood velocity in the vein of Galen are measured. The measured values are used to derive a coefficient (K) by the formula presented below: The normal coefficient K falls within the range of -0.6 and 4.0. If K is 4.62 and more, disseminated intravascular coagulation in a sub-acute phase of hypercoagulation is diagnosed.

EFFECT: technique enables simplifying the non-invasive diagnosing procedure in haemostatic disorders in the newborns of a perinatal risk group by determining the hypercoagulation direction of the haemostasis.
