METHOD OF RESTORATION OF TUBULAR BONES' INTEGRITY Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC A61B17/56

Abstract RU 2286739 C1

FIELD: medicine; traumatology; orthopedics.

SUBSTANCE: method of restoration of tubular bones' integrity includes implantation of intramedullary pin, fixation of pin by blocking screws and removal of device after integrity of bones is restored. Intramedullary pin, onto which bushing, spring and flexible link, attached to bushing, are put on, is introduced into spinal channel. Bushing is fixed to proximal part of distal fracture of bone. Osteotomy is performed to get fragment fixed onto bushing. Draught unit of device is mounted later and flexible draught is fixed to the unit. Flexible draught is pulled taut to form bone regeneration. After defect is compensated due to pulling flexible draught taut, compression is performed between bone fragment to be displaced and proximal fracture. After first X-ray signs of consolidation of fractures appear, external part of device, which incorporates draught mechanism, is removed. After integrity of tubular bone is completely restored, internal part of device is removed. When implanting intramedullary pin, string with rest is used, which string fixes bushing motionless in relation to intramedullary pin. String is removed after pin is implanted. To find precise point of forming openings for fixing device in bone the guides are used. Bone defect in tubular bones can be compensated with fewer number of entrance gates for letting infection arise. Skin and scarred tissues are protected from cutting through by needles at displacement of bone fragment.

EFFECT: improved efficiency; improved level of life of patient.
