FIELD: technical diagnostics of engines and machines, possible use for engineering systems for diagnostics of internal combustion engines and turbo-machines, used in aviation industry, automobile industry and power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: in accordance to method for diagnostics and prediction of technical state of engines, signals, resulting from engine vibration, are measured and transformed to spectrum of harmonic components, while signals are measured, lifted from electromechanical apparatus of engine, primarily generator, kinematically connected to the engine shaft, while produced spectrum of harmonic components is compared to standard spectrum for detecting presence and changes of defects of engine and machines. Method for diagnostics and prediction of technical state of engines is based on following: instead of indicator of signals, containing information about vibrations of engine, regular generator-machine is used, voltage, measured on which, is subjected to spectral analysis with detection of harmonic components, appropriate for appearing or developing defect. Proposed method is useable for diagnostics of engines of various types, having rotary shaft and regular apparatus, kinematically connected to the shaft and during rotation, generating voltage, while class of detectable defects is determined by occurring vibrations, influencing spectral composition of voltage generated by apparatus.
